The One Where Levav Gets a Big Boy Bed

Since coming back from California (over winter break, another thing I haven't blogged about), the boys have demanded to share a room.

We thought it would last a couple nights so blew up the air mattress for Eitan next to Lev's crib. Three weeks later, we realize that this isn't going to fly. They want to be together, and after a few mornings of Eitan pulling Lev out of his crib- ending with a thump- it was time for a plan.

So down out of the attic came the matching bed to Eitan's- a pair that our house's previous owners left and I painted together knowing one day we'd want them together, and if you're doing one bed, might as well do the second if you are as anal as I am and want to ensure a perfect match.

Over the long weekend we got them new matching bedding, a rail for the babe, and moved some artwork around and other things so it would feel like their room, not just Eitan's room with an extra bed. There's still work to do finishing in there, and Levav's clothes and everything still are in his room, but as of a few minutes ago, they're together.

Some shots of the mini room reveal...

And so Eitan didn't feel left out (total first kid that boy):

More Chanuka

As it turns out the rest of Chanuka wasn't as well documented as the first night. Lovely gifts, Eitan lighting a REAL candle with REAL fire. We also spent Shabbat Chanuka with the Shur cousins where Yosef made unbelievable munchkins. Also a shot from our Shul Chanuka party where Eitan had his face painted and had balloon swords. Pretty much the best afternoon a 4 year old could think of.

Catching Up!

It's been over a month since the last post says my calendar, but a busy one, so not lots of time to write down.

Today is MLK day, and I'm off, and the kids are in school HOORAY, so lots of time to take care of the little things that get lost in the organized chaos of the week.

Starting from the beginning? December, I guess,

For the first night of Chanuka it was Yair Rozmaryn's birthday so we hosted a cousin candle lighting and cake/sufganiot gorge. And we even broke their Sapta out of her assisted living facility to join us.

That's Eitan the week before at Pearlstone's family farm day making his own driedel out of recycled materials...little hippie.

The boys were so excited to get their first Chanuka presents- their own menorahs courtesy of Bubby and Zayde Rozmaryn
