Return to Nuthouse

It's the pizza store we all love to love, but everyone else loves to hate. It's dirty, it's small, you practically have to beg them to make you your food, but there's nothing like it. And we had missed it so much.

Some shots from our return...and Levav's first trip!

The non-eaters sleeping through the action

And a welcome home carvel cake. At what other restaurant can you bring your own cake for dessert?

Haifa Adventures

Before we came back we had a little adventure in Haifa for a couple days. Haifa's not so exciting, but we got some cool photos from the roof of our hotel and the Bahai Gardens.

Hello New York!

And catching up, while we settle into Silver Spring, a few shots from our trip home and first couple days in New York.

Airplane and Airport Fun

Playing with Aunt Kayla

Playing with cousin Nate (grandfathers in the back...)

(Big) Yair being forced into holding a baby!

Hanging out with (little) cousin Yair

We Miss Nina!

The saddest thing about leaving Israel is leaving the people we love. So this one's about Nina. What else is there to say? Counting down the days until she comes home for Pesach!

Helmet Head

Before we left Ami had to clean out and return his football gear to the team. He got to keep the Rozmaryn jersey, so that's cool though.

Eitan, with his obsession with helmets, got right on this one. The thing about it was it was really too heavy for him to wear so his head kept wobbling. It was pretty funny.

A Day at Sde Eliyahu

So, super quick, we're back in the US after a stop over in the former USSR. Boys did great on the planes and we're all a bit out of sorts relating to time/date/awake/asleep. Hopefully by the end of the weekend we'll all be back on track. Don't worry about missing out on my brilliant musings, I'll continue blogging our Rozmaryn adventures now that we're here. You know, for our folks in the holy land and also those on this side of the Atlantic that get their kicks checking in on us (anyone out there?).

Here's a taste of our visit to Aviva on Kibbutz on Monday (was it just last Monday?). It was great. Beit Shean is beautiful this time of year, right across the river from Jordan in a valley with beautiful lush fields, warm sunshine (especially lovely after a week of freezing rain and snow in Jerusalem) and really lovely people.

And the photographic evidence of our visit...

Snow in Jerusalem!

So yesterday when it was hail/sleeting everyone was all excited about snow in Jerusalem and I kept saying it's not snow. But this morning when we got up, Ami opened the shades and WOW, that was snow. I think my first words this morning were "it's snow like America!".

And then I got all excited and made Ami get dressed and the kiddos and got to Disney World level shrill voice-ness and photography demands.

I think it paid off, the first snow that Eitan can actually play in and Levav's first snow ever. Best.

And, for the first time in a LONG time (I have totally slacked on my video-ing), a video:
