The Aquarium AKA Screened in Porch

Walking into our house for the first time when we looked at it this amazing room was the first thing that drew our eyes in. Along the back of the house, next to the living and dining rooms is an amazing screened in porch with a wall of sliding doors.

And since the move, we have used this room constantly. It's a way to be outside without bugs and with permanent shade! We have bigger plans for this room, namely adding ceiling fans, twinkle lights, painting the concrete floor so it feels more home-y, even maybe painting the ceiling a soft blue, adding some art maybe on the wall above the sofa, but for now, we just are enjoying it. I love being out there enjoying the view onto our amazing backyard. It feels like you're in the country.

Ami named it "the aquarium" and it's caught on. It's the first place he'll go when watching the kids by himself. For some reason things are just better out there. Maybe it's the fresh air, I don't know, but Eitan can play with his little grill and scooter, and Levs just is thrilled to climb into and out of the half step to the room. See below, really, he'll do this for a long time!

The owners of the house left us the picnic table and benches, my mom brought over  the wicker dresser, I bought Ami the plants for his birthday that sit on it, and the couch and chairs were a sweet craigslist deal ($75 for the set-unreal). We need to replace the cushions, but that's been demoted to a 2014 project.

I love Eitan's serious little face in the picture above. He's chowing down on a yogurt popsicle, hey throwback old blog post from last summer. PS Can you believe that Eitan was that little only a year ago? This sassy boy is almost three!

Here's the two in action:
